Lightness

This is fine art work stems from an interpretation of the book “American Lessons” by Italo Calvino.
In representing my photographs, I let myself be carried away by the words that slowly, slowly took form in images wandering in my thoughts .

The Unbearable Lightness of Being is in reality a bitter observation of the Ineluctable Heaviness of Living …
The burden of living for Kundera lies in every form of constraint: the dense network of public and private constraints that ends up wrapping up every existence with ever-tighter knots …
At times when the realm of the human seems to me condemned to heaviness, I think I should fly like Perseus to another space. I’m not talking about escapes in the dream or the irrational. I mean that I have to change my approach, I have to look at the world from another perspective, another logic, other methods of knowledge and verification.
The images of lightness that I seek do not have to be dissolved like dreams by the reality of the present and the future …
